General Description
Initiates credit reviews (financial strength, payment performance, external ratings etc.) for new and existing customers to ensure credit limit risk falls within corporate guidelines, securing approvals based on the approved signing authority policy

Primary Duties

• Review new credit applications in support of new sales opportunities identified in the sales forecasting system.
• Review existing customers credit limits based on limit expiry dates and account monitoring systems.
• Liaison with Sales, Global Services and other internal staff to ensure approved limits are communicated and requirements are addressed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Contact customers to secure the release of financial data and/or security as deemed necessary.
• Maintain the weekly credit alert report posted to the intranet.
• Performance of other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements Skills and Knowledge

• A minimum of 5 years commercial credit experience preferred
• Experience in the following software packages: (MSGP), SAP (Modules FI, SD,CO), Excel and Microsoft Office an asset
• Strong Financial Statement analysis skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

• University Degree with main subject in an Accounting Designation or Professional Credit Designation
